Since May 11, the exhibition "Horse and Rider" has been operating in the Exhibition Complex of the Archaeological Museum-Reserve "Tanais". The history of the horse is inextricably linked with the history of mankind. More than any representative of the animal world, the horse accompanies the creative activity of man. At the same time, he is an unwitting participant in devastating wars, previously unprecedented in pace and scale of invasions, undeservedly sharing with the conquerors the horror and hatred from the victims of endless tragic events. The exhibition presents details of horse harness, images of horses on vessels, lamps, tombstones, reliefs and coins found at the settlement and in the Tanais district.
