Makhankov Sergey Yulievich – Rostov artist-antiquarian, local historian. His graphic and pictorial works have been exhibited more than once at exhibitions in the GBUK RO "Archaeological Museum-Reserve "Tanais". Most of the artist's paintings are based on ancient history, the history of ancient Tanais, ancient Greek myths. Attention was often paid to the outstanding people of the Don Region who devoted their scientific works and creative works to the ancient periods of its history – researchers, archaeologists, poets, artists and artists.
